LYK3 0NGz...R3C01L!!!!?

Well....Recoil scares the living bejesus out of me, and I cant pick a rifle. My mommy told me that the .308 will blow my shoulder off, and that the .25-06 is to much of a gun for anything useful. The .22 shorts always knock me on my butt! What rifle should I get? Which one doesnt have recoil? Lyke, how is the recoil in a .416 Rigby? I heard they where weaker then the .22 Shorts by a long run. My dad suggested .25ACP in a lever action rifle, but by golly, the video I saw had them knocking out of there chairs!
