Why must i have no savings at 14? i only have $300 in the bank. :( sigh?

okay, ever since young, when i receive birthday money from my auntys and uncles, i get almost $250 everytime. then, my parents will take it away. and say that its for the house. i understand. until now, my bank, if i add everything up together including those which had been withdrawn from the bank, i would have had $1500. i would like to ask the other teenagers, how much money do you have in your bank in terms of US dollars? now i have $300. its so sad. and now, my mum is asking for me to give it to her again. omg.... you guys know why i asked this? today, me and 3 of my friends talked about money. they said they have $5000, $20000, $1800 dollars respectively. well, around that amount. and i was like omg why is my life like this? what if i cant buy a house in the future? and i told them, i had $300. they showed the "look down on me" expression. so teenagers or anyone out there, how much do you have in your bank? just share your money in your bank WHEN YOU WERE AROUND 13 To 14 years old... thanks guys. someone might get a best answer.
